When I started Zaldi, most of the people I spoke to thought it could not be done. The firm I described was, in their words, too ambitious for the market we were in. I heard the word no more times than I can count.
I built it anyway.
I did not set out to create another investment house that followed the market and reported the same results as everyone else. I set out to build something that moved ahead of it. A firm with the conviction to take a position before it was obvious, and the discipline to hold it until it paid. That is what the stallion in our name stands for. Strength, held under control.
Years on, that conviction has become an institution. Zaldi manages billions today for clients who expect more than caution, and it does so with governance and a team that stand among the best in this country. The ambition that started the firm has not changed. If anything, the market has only proven there was room for it all along.
